About Dr. Simms
Dr. Simms is a licensed psychologist who received her Doctorate of Psychology in 2005 with a specialty in Psychological Assessment from Chestnut Hill College, an APA accredited institution. She received her Master of Science in Counseling and Human Services in 1992 from Villanova University, and her Bachelor of Science in 1990 from Chestnut Hill College with a major in Psychology and a minor in Business Management.

She is a member of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association, the Pennsylvania Tourette Syndrome Association(PATSA) and the Obsessive-Compulsive Foundation, and served on the PATSA Board of Directors. She presents workshops on the topics of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Tourette Syndrome, Sports Psychology, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. 

Dr. Simms believes each person and their experience is unique. She is committed to creating an empathic and supportive environment in therapy that fosters a collaborative therapeutic relationship built on trust and respect, regardless of the age of the individual. Furthermore, she has a passion for physical health that she believes is important for a balanced mind-body connection.

She was a competitive lacrosse player for 12 years, a certified personal fitness trainer while in graduate school, and continues to be a cross-training fitness enthusiast.
